Journey to XLRI

Hi folks,
The journey to XLRI GMP call after receiving the offer letter has to start from depositing the first instalment fees of Rs.325000/- by April 26, 2008. I visited JSR for approaching for arrangement of the SBI loan. A hassle free approach by the SBI staff and kudos to the real corporate way of functioning-- one doesnt expect such things from a PSU bank - but the services were at par with any leading MNC banks. Deposited the cheque and the acceptance at XLRI. Had a small pep talk with the Associate Dean regarding the Experience Certificate and Relieving letters. The institute is grandeous from inside though it doesnt give a great look from outside. Huge Campus with swanky accommodation facilities for GMPians. The climate in JSR is too humid. A small town and for anything and everything you have to take an auto to the nearest market which is just 3 kms away but by paying Rs. 30/-. Hectic schedule is what awaits you at GMP - as per seniors. There would be very less time to go the markets then. Just counting the days to reach XLRI. 51 days to be precise.
